Dominik Bönisch studied cultural studies in Hildesheim and Budapest. He is currently heading a research collaboration with the Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences (MIREVI—Mixed Reality and Visualization group) on the development of intermedia AV collections using artificial intelligence (AI). Until 2023, he was in charge of the “Training the Archive” project at the Ludwig Forum Aachen and used AI in curating. His research interests lie on the impact of new technologies on art and on museum collections and exhibitions.
