About Production is a workshop that convenes women and gender-marginalized producers from the local sound initiatives About Repetition and grapefruits for their first collaborative exploration. Throughout the day, participants will reflect on the conditions of producing electronic music in the Rhineland—sharing insights on working processes, hands-on expertise with electronic tools, and the realities of sustaining creative practice. A guest mentor will offer sounds, technological skills, and thoughts to inspire the dialogue, which will unfold in collaborative sessions and culminate in a public evening event, inviting other interested participants to listen in on the conversations, experiments, and resonances of the day.
Everyone interested is invited to attend the public evening event at 7 p.m. to listen to the discussions, experiments and responses of the day.
The event is part of the program When the World Went Out of Tune with Itself, a collaboration between IMAI - Inter Media Art Institute and Approximation Festival.
